About the Codex
The short, plain version
Section titled “The short, plain version”This is the official wiki for Ethereal Gate: Sanctuary Zero. It’s maintained by the development team, updated alongside the game, and every page has a feedback form wired to our review queue.
The slightly longer version
Section titled “The slightly longer version”The Codex speaks in two voices, and it never mixes them without telling you:
- The Chronicle is written inside the world — the working archive of the Seamkeepers, an order of menders founded by Halcyon Vey to keep what frays. Its pages contain no game terms, no numbers, no interface talk. They are the story.
- The Guide, Advanced Play, and this Watchtower section are written outside the world — plain, practical, numerate. Guide pages open with a line or two from the Chronicle so the atmosphere carries through, then get on with the tables.
Cross-links run one way: guide pages point into the Chronicle when a name has a story; the Chronicle never points back out. The fiction stays whole.
On the lore
Section titled “On the lore”The Chronicle grows with the game — updates arrive as newly “recovered” fragments and, occasionally, new chapters. If the Signs at the end of Age V seem like they’re pointing at something, they are.
Lore contributions are genuinely welcome: the feedback form has a Lore idea category, and the order takes its correspondence seriously.
Credits & contact
Section titled “Credits & contact”Ethereal Gate is in alpha, built by a small team. Bug reports, balance arguments, myth-making, and blunt notes about unclear pages all go through the same door: the form at the bottom of any page. We read everything.
And if you’ve read this far — welcome, Overseer. One stitch holds while you hold.
