Profiles & Safety
“A word kept exact is a small wall.” — The Seamkeeper’s Codex, Words of the World
Your profile
Section titled “Your profile”Your profile is how the server sees you: name, avatar, and alliance tag. Set your avatar from the profile screen — it appears beside your messages in every channel, on your contact card, and on the map.
Contact cards
Section titled “Contact cards”Tap any player — in chat, in an alliance roster, anywhere their name appears — to open their contact card: name, avatar, alliance, and the actions you can take:
- Send Message — opens (or resumes) a DM thread
- Block / Unblock
- Report
The contact card is deliberately the only route to those actions, so they work identically everywhere a player appears.
Blocking
Section titled “Blocking”Blocking is immediate, silent, and two-way for messages:
- Their world-chat messages stop rendering for you.
- They cannot DM you; existing threads stop receiving.
- No notification is sent to them.
Your block list lives in your profile settings — unblock whenever you like. Blocking is a personal filter, not a punishment; use it freely and without ceremony. You owe nobody an audience.
Reporting
Section titled “Reporting”Report on the contact card (or directly on a chat message) files the message and its context to the moderation queue for the admin team. Use it for harassment, hate, spam, scam attempts, or anything else that shouldn’t be on the server.
- Reports are silent — the reported player isn’t told who filed.
- Report and block is the recommended combination for anything personal: the report handles them, the block protects you now.
- Don’t counter-post. Screenshotting drama into world chat feeds the fire; the queue puts it out.
